Release Notes

This is the original early release for tax year 2017.


NEW:

  • All 2017 tax forms and instructions have been updated with IRS changes.
  • All business rules and custom queries have been updated for 2017 form fields.
  • All 2017 sample import files and Excel data shells have been added.
  • Import speed enhancements.
  • The speed of resetting a filed session has been improved.
  • All help files have been updated for 2017

FORM CHANGES:

  • 1098
    • Renumbered Box 10: The 2016 Box 10 Other is now Box 11 Other.
    • Box 10: Number of mortgage properties.
  • 1099-OID

    • Boxes 11 - 13 Renumbered:  Now Boxes 12 - 14

    • Year verbiage change: Box updated to 2017

    • Box 11 Tax Exempt OID: Tax exempt OID

  • 1099-S
    • Box 5 checkbox added
    • Previous box 5, Buyer's Part of Real Estate Tax, is now box 6.
