1099 Pro designs Pressure Seal and Alternate Combined Layout (PS/ACL) print options for users requiring specialized recipient copy print layouts. These PS/ACL options are available to all users, in addition to our standard Combined Print Options. For example, there are layouts designed for facilities with pressure-seal equipment, layouts to fit various envelopes, and many more layouts that have been added by request over time. PS/ACL options are available for most form types including 1098, 1099 series, W-2, 1042-S and others. 

IMPORTANT: The IRS updates tax forms regularly and 1099 Pro may update PS/ACL layouts to reflect these changes. Prior to purchasing any paper products or envelopes for a specific layout, please verify the layout in the current tax year version of our software. Sovos 1099 Pro suggests ordering sample paper products and envelopes from third party vendors to ensure compatibility with our layouts.

How to Print via PS/ACL Layouts

Many PS/ACL layouts print the form and data directly to blank paper. Effective August 2022, 1099 Pro no longer sells paper products or envelopes.  Visit 1099 Pro Tax Forms & Envelopes to learn about third party options to purchase paper products.

  1. At any print options screen, select "Pressure Seal/ACL" as the paper type.
  2. Click the "Select the Pressure Seal or ACL Format" button to view available layouts for the form.
  3. Select a layout, then print forms.
