Release notes

Important:

  • The Application Pool used by the 1099Pro.NET app must be set to Integrated mode. Please make sure that the Managed Pipeline Mode is set to Integrated mode otherwise PDF files will not display correctly. For more information please contact your IT department or your 1099 Pro account manager.
  • All tax forms will still display "DRAFT" status in the ASP/Web interface until the next Corporate Suite software release (which unlocks electronic filing).

NEW:

  • 2020 IRS/SSA Updates - All final Tax Year 2020 forms & instructions now available (removed "DRAFT" watermark).
    • TY2020 1095-B & 1095-C instruction links will be activated in a subsequent update.
    • TY2020 Puerto Rico instruction links will be activated in a subsequent update.
  • 2021 IRS/SSA Updates - Tax Year 2021 preliminary forms are available for data entry, reports, & exports.
  • Export - Functionality now integrated with custom query builder for filers and recipients 
  • PII masking security Feature now available
    • To mask Personally Identifiable Information (PII) when displayed in the ASP (Web) interface of the 1099 Pro software. This will be for specific ASP (Web) areas only as some areas/functionality are already governed by other Security & Administration items.
      PII includes:
      • The recipient TIN (EIN or SSN) on any tax form.
      • The recipient Date of Birth (DOB) on the 1042-S, 1095-B, and 1095-C tax forms
    • The masking feature will mask the first five digits of the TIN or first four digits of the DOB. For example:
      • ***-**-6789
      • **-***6789
      • **/**/1980
    • The idea is that Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) access PII daily, on tax forms, which is visible to anyone looking at the user’s screen or if a screen is left on. This measure will mask that PII from being fully displayed.
    • The PII masking functionality will be built into the Security & Administration and will be able to be included in Access Groups. This means that it can applied to entire security profiles (roles) and not on an individual level.

  • General - Latest quick start guide and YouTube tutorials now linked in the help menu on the left-hand toolbar. 
  • Business Rules
    • 1099 NEC business rules updated to validate Box 1 and 7 amount.  
    • 1095-B and 1095-C business rules updated to validate invalid US state and zip codes. 


FIXED:

  • SSO/SAML - Login authorization issues cause users not being able to login. 
  • Exporting - Information requests batches from Tin Managmenet were not exporting.
  • Corrections - Records marked Printed by Service Bureau print process was not prompting user to reset status before initiation new correction.
