Release Notes

IMPORTANT:  This update will revise all existing 2018 Puerto Rico forms (480.6A, 480.6B, 480.7, 480.7C and 499R-2) with their new box/field changes.  Please be sure to review your data once the update is applied to confirm the accuracy of your revised data. 

NEW:

  • Exporting - Added TIN & Last Name sort options

UPDATED:

  • Puerto Rico - Updated all forms (480.6A, 480.6B, 480.7, 480.7C and 499R-2) including print layouts, reports, and business rules for TY2018 changes. 
  • Puerto Rico - 499R-2 eFile generation is enabled.  eFile generation for other Puerto Rico form types will be available in a subsequent update.
  • Federal Filing - Louisiana (LA) removed from the IRS Combined Federal/State Filing (CFS) Program.
  • State Filing - State direct electronic filing enabled for 1099 & W-2 forms.
  • State Filing - State direct paper filing enabled for 1099, W-2, & 1042-S forms.
  • State Filing - State reporting thresholds updated for:
    • Minnesota (MN) - 1099-DIV
    • Iowa (IA) - 1099-B, 1099-C, 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-INT, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, 1099-OID, 1099-R, W-2G
    • Alabama (AL) - 1099-K

  • General - Latest USPS validation database included.
  • General - Latest GIIN list included.
  • Reprint Scheduler - Updated utility and form versions for TY2018. 
  • Web Presentment API - Updated for TY2018.  Download Here.
  • ACA - Software ID for XML generation is updated for 2018. 
    • NOTE: 1094-C Authoritative Transmittal is required if filing 1095-C or IRS penalties may incur. 

FIXED: 

  • Puerto Rico - Issue with control number assignment from multiple ranges for the same EIN and form type. 
  • Service Bureau - Outdated 1099-MISC & W-2 due dates in Service Bureau upload wizard.
  • General - A number of other small fixes and enhancements are also included in this release.
