Notable form changes:

  • 1099-MISC
    • Previously, Box 14 showed the total compensation of excess golden parachute payments subject to 20% excise tax and was named “Excess golden parachute payments”. Box 14 has been removed and the spot is reserved for future use..
  • 1099-NEC
    • Box 3 changed to ‘Excess golden parachute payments’. Previously, was reserved for further use. This information was previously reported on the 1099-MISC.
  •  1099-Q
    • New Checkbox added to Box 4: QTP to Roth IRA
