Important

  • 1099-K threshold - In late December 2022, the IRS released guidance that the implementation of the reduced $600 threshold for 1099-K reporting will be delayed until tax year 2023. As a result, the federal threshold for the 1099-K reporting for tax year 2022 will stay at $20,000 and 200 transactions. 


New and improved:

  • We enabled electronic filing for the 1099, W-2, and 1042-S forms.
  • We enabled printing, mailing, electronic filing, and Bulk TIN uploads in the Service Bureau.
  • We added a TIN Masking flag to the Service Bureau Upload zip file comment. (CS-3504)
  • CSFS Filing (Electronic & Service Bureau) - We added the 1099-NEC to CSFS filing for the following states:
    • Arkansas (AR), California (CA), Hawaii (HI), Idaho (ID), Maryland (MD), Michigan (MI), Montana (MO), Nebraska (NE), New Jersey (NJ), and Oklahoma (OK).
  • We updated the RRD print file specifications for 2022.
  • We added the latest eFileViewer, see eFileViewer v2021.12.15 Release Notes. 
  • We added the 2022 Forms 3921 & 3922 Fomin Reports.
  • We added the new 2022 IRS Instructions for W-2G and 1099-PATR. 
  • 2023 IRS/SSA Updates - We added tax year 2023 preliminary forms for form entry, imports, and reports.
  • We updated the Web API for all tax year 2022 form types.
  • We updated the Reprint Scheduler for all tax year 2022 form types.
  • We updated the Federal Thresholds according to IRS/SSA form changes.
  • In the W-2 Balancing Report, we added Tax State as a Sort field on the federal reporting level. (CS-3678)
  • State Filing - We increased the Oregon (OR) Electronic file filename maximum amount of characters by 1. (ENTERPRISE-2245)
  • We updated the Tech Support Tool.


Bug fixes:

  • We fixed the following Printing issues:
    • On the W-2, Custom Box 14 was incorrectly printing for Optional fields. (CS-3632)
    • On the 1099-PATR, the text in Box 12 was aligned incorrectly.
    • On the 1099-MISC, there was an advanced print option error when all options were selected with ACL - Alternate Comb, 5144 blank stock layout. (CS3594)
    • On the 1098-Q Print Wizard, the number of recipient copies was incorrectly displaying "THREE" instead of "TWO". (CS-3616)
  • We fixed issues with the following Help File links not opening:
    • W-2 Region Code page. (CS-3611)
    • Export Session Details/Options page. (CS-3657)
    • Daily Totals Report page. (CS-3674)
