Private key not found
- The key you are loading likely only containing the digital certificate. During the encryption process it must be signed by the digital certificate AND the private key.
- Please contact your certificate authority to obtain a new file that contains both the digital certificate AND the private key in 1 single file. Our software users has had positive experiences with .PEM or .PFX formats.
Nine zeroes 000000000 or blank TIN for account holder?
- 000000000 passed as TINs will not be valid for XML schema.
- The IRS as of 2018 requires all account holders who are specified US persons to provide a TIN. If they are an Owner-documented FFI, Passive NFFE or Non-participating FFI, a blank tin can be provided. IDES may return a "TIN Not Populated" error from the ICMM system since they will not recognize these Organization Account Holder types are expected to have a blank TIN value. However, having followed the IRS’ guidance by leaving the TIN blank for these entities, this error can be safely disregarded.
If this error is received on an Account Holder record that is not an Organization Account Holder registered as one of the 3 entity types mentioned above, this error cannot be disregarded and instead must be corrected.
