Purpose: Doing this will allow 1099Pro Enterprise or Professional to install and/or update without any interference from the anti-virus software.

To bypass the scanning of 1099Pro Enterprise, Professional, 1042-S, W-2 Pro, 8966 Pro and Corporate Suite (Note: This assumes that the software is installed in the default installation locations)


  1. On FortiClient’s Console Home Page select AntiVirus.




  2. Click on the Gear next to “Realtime Protection Enabled”.




  3. Select Exclusion List and click + then select Add file.




  4. Browse for the 1099 Pro folder. The default location is C:\1099 Pro (yours may be different depending on where you installed the software) Choose Select Folder.




  5. You will now see the 1099Pro folder in the Exclusion List. Click OK to save. 




  6. The 1099 Pro folder is now on the Excluded Files and Folders list and will run without any interference from FortiClient AntiVirus Software.
